PEICMC CASUAL Warehouse Worker
The purpose of this position is to compile orders received from the 4 retail cannabis stores and 1 E-Commerce store; in case lot size.
Duties will include:
- Interpret store orders
- Operate warehouse equipment. Involves safe handling and operation of pallet jack and other handling equipment
- Compile orders by stacking cases of cannabis products on pallets
- Load orders on delivery truck / van
- Unload cannabis orders from truck to retail store’s warehouse
- Check purchase orders for accuracy
- Receive purchase orders in Oracle using the MSCA hand held scanner
- Confirm correct GTIN, lot code, and package size of cases
- Check and confirm unsaleable products or vendor recalls from all retail stores and warehouse for accuracy
- Notify warehouse manager of any discrepancies
- Box unsaleable and recalls by individual vendor and prepare boxes for return shipping to vendor
- Ensure proper stock rotation
- Perform physical as well as cycle counts when required
- Tag pallets for storage
- Clean and tidy warehouse as required
- Ensure warehouse equipment is operational and not in need of repair
- Notify warehouse manager of any maintenance required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Experience in the operation of material handling equipment, such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, and pickers
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and building
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good previous work and attendance record
- Physically fit and capable of lifting for continuous periods of time
Hourly Rate:
$19.13 to $20.80 (plus 12% in lieu of sick and vacation benefits)
