Where can I buy cannabis in PEI?
PEI Cannabis is the ONLY retailer of adult use cannabis in Prince Edward Island, sold through our four stand-alone retail stores. You can also purchase cannabis online through our e-Commerce website with direct-to-home delivery.
Where are the stores located?
In Summerside, the retail store is located at 447 Granville Street. In Montague, the retail store is located at 509 Main Street. In Charlottetown, the retail store is located at 85 Belvedere Ave. In O’Leary the retail store is located at 474 Main St.
What are the hours of operation for each store?

What kinds of cannabis products are available for purchase?
Cannabis is available for purchase in a number of forms initially including cannabis flower, cannabis oil and gel capsules, and cannabis accessories.
Will seeds and seedlings be available for purchase?
Seeds and seedlings will not be available for purchase on October 17. PEI Cannabis continues to explore having seeds and seedling for sale in PEI, although the supply chain variables associated with these products have not yet been finalized.
Do you offer edible products?
PEI Cannabis does not currently offer edible cannabis products. Edible products are still illegal to commercially produce and sell in Canada, but we expect the federal government will make edible products legal in 2019.
How old do I have to be to consume cannabis?
The legal age for cannabis use in Prince Edward Island is age 19, which is the same as our legal age for alcohol and tobacco.
Where can I consume cannabis?
You can consume cannabis in a private home and the yard attached to a private home. You can also consume cannabis on vacant land, with the consent of the owner of that land. In rented or shared spaces where smoking is prohibited, such as rental units, community care facilities and long-term care facilities, there may be designated spaces for smoking.
How much cannabis am I allowed to have?
You are allowed to have up to 30 grams in public. This means that you can only purchase and transport 30 grams at any one time. There are no limits to how much legally purchased cannabis you can keep in your home. Youth under the age of 19 are prohibited from possessing or consuming cannabis.
Can I have cannabis plants in my home?
Yes. Your household may grow up to four cannabis plants at one time, regardless of stage of growth. This is four plants per house, not per person. If you're renting, get permission from your property owner before growing cannabis. If you're a condo owner, check your condo bylaws.
Where should I store my cannabis?
In your home, cannabis must be stored safely away from children. It's also a good idea to keep it safely away from pets. In your vehicle, cannabis must be kept in a sealed container, out of reach of the driver and any passengers.
What are the rules on driving and cannabis?
Impaired driving – by cannabis or any drug – is illegal. You cannot drive any vehicle while the driver, or anyone else in the vehicle, is consuming cannabis. When being transported in a vehicle, cannabis must be out of reach to the driver.
What are the penalties for driving while impaired by cannabis?
An impaired driver is subject to charges under federal legislation and penalties under the Highway Traffic Act. You could lose your driver's license and face potential jail time. There will be additional charges and fines if you drive impaired with a minor in the car.
How will you ensure cannabis is sold in a socially responsible way?
All customers who choose to shop at a cannabis retail store will be required to present identification, both upon entering the store, and when they finalize their purchase.
Preventing sales to anyone under the designated legal purchasing age of 19, and to intoxicated people, is a core focus of PEI Cannabis. All retail staff are well-trained in ID verification and responsible service.
